About The Laughter Chronicles
This isn’t really a blog.
It’s more of a containment area.
The Laughter Chronicles is a collection of true-ish tales, mild surrealism, and confused observations from a middle-aged man who spends far too much time talking to appliances.
The stories here are mostly based on real life—then lightly exaggerated, slightly misremembered, and gently set on fire. Some involve the army. Some involve office culture. Some involve kettles with unionised attitudes.
Who’s writing this?
That would be me. Andy
Hawthorne.
Middle-aged, mildly caffeinated, occasionally interrupted by a pigeon or a Victorian-styled muse who disapproves of my grammar.
I have a few other blogs too, because apparently one wasn’t enough to contain whatever this is.
What should you expect?
- Short stories
- Strange conversations
- Coffee-related conflict
- Cartoon illustrations
- The occasional limerick that probably shouldn’t have been published
There is no schedule, no editorial calendar, and no promise of sense. Just stories as they happen—or re-emerge from memory, blinking and slightly dazed.
Is any of it true?
Enough to worry my family.
Put the kettle on. Let the nonsense begin.
